Tibbetts is From Sioux Falls

Born on May 15, 1977, Nate Tibbetts, now 46, entered this world in the heart of South Dakota, America. His father, the legendary Fred Tibbetts, and mother Micki, had no idea they were raising a future basketball sensation.

Nate’s basketball journey kicked off during his school days. He first showed off his skills at Jefferson High School and later at Sioux Falls Roosevelt High School.

After Post high school, Nate continued his basketball odyssey by playing for the University of South Dakota Athletics

But here’s the tearjerker: every step of the way, Nate had his dad, Fred, by his side, guiding him and showing him the path to success.

The story takes a somber turn in 2008 when the basketball world lost a true legend. Fred Tibbetts, the man behind Jefferson and Roosevelt’s more than a dozen championship titles, lost his battle with colon cancer
