Neville John “Noddy is an  English musician, composer, and actor Neville” Holder MBE. One of the most popular performers in the UK throughout the 1970s, he was the lead vocalist and rhythm guitarist for the English rock group Slade.

Holder, who is well-known for his distinctive and strong voice, co-wrote the majority of Slade’s songs with bassist Jim Lea, including “Mama Weer All Crazee Now,” “Cum On Feel the Noize,” and “Merry Xmas Everyone.”

He began working in radio and television after leaving Slade in 1992. He was most known for his role as the lead in the ITV comedy-drama series The Grimleys (1999–2001).

Holder formed his own group, the Memphis Cutouts, and in the early 1960s, he released four singles for EMI’s Columbia label with Steve Brett & the Mavericks.

In 1976, Holder married  Leandra Russell, a garment designer. They separated in 1984 after having two kids.

Holder wed Suzan Price, a television producer, in 2004. The two have a son named Django, who is named after Django Reinhardt. Holder currently resides in Prestbury, Cheshire.

Holder was given a six-month prognosis after receiving an oesophageal cancer diagnosis in 2018. He “responded well” to experimental chemotherapy treatment that he received at Manchester’s Christie Hospital.

In 2023, his spouse Suzan revealed the details of his cancer fight in her monthly Cheshire Life magazine column.

She said that “experts never like to use the word ‘cure’, but five years later and he’s feeling good and looking great.

Who Is Suzan Price?

Television producer Suzan Price,57, is the wife of Noddy Holder. She has produced episodes for ITV including Loose Women, formerly known as Live Talk when Price started working on the show in 2000.

IMDb notes that Suzan was also involved in the production of ITV’s All Star Mr & Mrs, a celebrity couple game show hosted by Fern Britton and Phillip Schofield that ran from 2008 to 2016.
